We are phasing out our Carburetor
Sleeves, except for the 33 to 28 sleeves which we use in our
11.90 Pea-Shooter Combos. If you're looking for Carburetor
Sleeves, call now to see what is remaining in inventory.
Available while they last!
Huddleston Performance is proud to introduce the latest in
Carburetor Innovations yet again. Our new Carburetor Reducer
Sleeves don't just benefit one group of racers, but rather
cover the entire spectrum of Jr. Dragster Bracket Racing.
Over the course of the last few seasons it has become
increasingly more common for people to need help slowing
there big motors down. In most cases we've had to start by
selling the racer a new 33 Mikuni and then possibly even
selling them the reducer sleeve to further slow their combo.
We've had good success using the 33 Mikuni on literally
everything from our Pea Shooter 12.90 all the way up to our
3 1/2 Heavy (for 8.90!!). All the while it has bothered us
to have to sell someone a new carburetor when they only need
it for slowing down purposes. At some point it became
obvious that the better option for the racer was to just
reduce the size of their existing carburetor. One thing led
to another and now we stock 9 different reducer sleeves for
the 4 most common Jr. Carburetors.
1. 28 mm Mikuni
Reducer Sleeve
This
reducer sleeves a 28mm Mikuni down to 24mm. It's purpose
isn't so much to "slow" an engine down but more to simply
pick up the velocity in the carburetor to make the 28 more
tune-able on 12.90 type motors.
2. 33 mm Mikuni
Reducer Sleeves
The venerable 33 mm carburetor is literally used for every
application one can think of in Bracket Racing. What we've
seen is that there's a need for more than one size reducer
for this carburetor. We now offer them in 28mm, 25mm as well
as 22mm hole sizes. The larger ones seem to work well when
trying to simply take weight off of an 8.90 car. The smaller
ones will do well for various 12.90 type applications.
3. 40 mm Mikuni Reducer Sleeves
We've had a number of 8.90 racers contact us that have
bought some sort of "7.90" motor that's equipped w/ a 40 mm
Mikuni and they need to immediately slow their 400 lb
package by a full second. That can be a tall order without
somehow reducing the output of the engine. Until now we've
only had the option of first selling them a 33 mm carburetor
and then selling them a reducer sleeve for that 33. This
gets pricey quick. We now have reducers for the 40 Mikuni in
36mm, 33mm and 30mm hole sizes. These should work well for
helping to slow a 40 equipped car or can also be useful for
taking some lead off of an overpowered 7.90 car.
4. 42 mm Mikuni Reducer Sleeves
These serve basically the same purpose as the 40 mm
reducers, except they are designed to fit the 42 Mikuni
carburetor. We only offer these in sizes of 36mm and 33mm.
Due to the increased inlet size of the 42 we have some
serious concerns that the 30mm version will lead to an
unfixable stumble. As with everything we sell, we simply
supply product we are confident will help racers win races.
That being the case we only stock 2 sizes for the 42 mm
sleeves, both the 36 mm and 33 mm will help slow your car
down while still maintaining a level of consistency.
All of
these Reducer Sleeves install the same way as our current 33
mm to 28 mm Restrictor Kit, for full installation

simple and quick to install, and depending on your
application are very effect in a number of different ways.

pointed out earlier, not only are these great tuning aids,
but they are also a very cost effective means for slowing
down your ride. There are 2 ways of purchasing them, you may
purchase them one at a time for $19.95 or you may purchase a
set of 3 of ANY reducer sleeves for a price of $49.95. That
means if you have 2 different racecars, one with a 42mm

need to!
