**Alabama Gang Spreads Path of Destruction At SEJRA Gleason
Event**
.jpg)
A week ago many of our
Alabama racers had much more on their minds than racing.
After storms ripped through Northern Alabama, destroying
many lives, it was unclear whether some of the best SEJRA
Racers would be able to attend the Gleason event. Racers
such as the Evans Family who were forced to work immediately
following the storms to get electricity back to families, or
the Quick Family who narrowly escaped having their Tire
Service Center hit by tornadoes weren't sure if they could
make the event. But after only a week of recovery time the
Alabama Crew came to Gleason ready to race, and they quickly
put everyone on notice.
The weekend started with
HP 7.90 racer Cody Barnhart mowing his way through the $400
All-Run Class Friday Night. Cody continued his outstanding
performance into Saturday's competition, taking home
Runner-Up finishes in both the 7.90 Index and the $1,000
All-Run classes. As if that wasn't enough, Cody again rolled
his success over another day by taking home the Runner-Up
finish in the 13 & Up Age Group on Sunday. In total Cody
made 40 passes down the Gleason 1/8th mile in one weekend!
Next we had Rebekah
Evans, the reigning 2010 SEJRA All-Run Champion, getting
back to true form. She began her winning ways by blowing
through the $1,000 All-Run competition as she did through
all of 2010. In the finals she beat fellow HP Racer Cody
Barnhart. Beka was also able to continue her success into
Sunday's program, taking home the win in the 13 & Up Age
Group and finishing Runner-Up in the $1,000 All-Run class.
With her performance Beka has moved into the SEJRA points
lead in both the $1,000 All-Run Class and the 13 & Up Age
Group.
It wasn't just our 7.90
Racers that stole the show however, our Alabama 8.90 Racers
came ready to take home their fair share of hardware.
Saturday Kiefer Quick sliced his way through the ultra tough
8.90 Index to meet fellow HP Racer Mitchell Seymore in the
finals. This was a rematch of the finals from the SEJRA
Gritz Blitz earlier this season, but this time it was Kiefer
taking the win. His win moved himself and Mitchell into a
tie atop the 8.90 Index points.
Mitchell Seymore was the
grand finale for the HP contingent. After finishing
Runner-Up in the 8.90 Index, Mitchell came into Sunday with
his game face on in the $1,000 All-Run. After racing through
a tough field of both 7.90 and 8.90 hotrods, Mitchell found
himself matched up with Saturday's $1,000 All-Run Winner
Beka Evans. Mitchell was on his game cutting an outstanding
.002 light and running a nearly perfect 8.940 on his 8.93
dial. Mr. Seymore was able to cap off an outstanding weekend
for both the Alabama Gang and Huddleston Performance.
We want to congratulate
all of our Winners and Runner-Ups, the Alabama Gang showed a
lot of resiliency in their dominating performance.
Huddleston Performance is also proud of the fact that all of
our Winners and Runner-Ups run different Huddleston
Performance combinations. Kiefer Quick HP 8.90 Terminator,
Mitchell Seymore HP 8.90 Sniper, Rebekah Evans HP 7.90
Sniper Light, and Cody Barnhart HP 7.90 Heavy. These drivers
helped to prove that no matter what HP Combinations you have
your eye on, we can put you in the Winner Circle.
Congratulations to the entire Alabama Gang!
New
Magnum Series Line Of Engine Now Available From Huddleston
Performance
.jpg)
We at Huddleston
Performance are proud to announce the introduction of our
Magnum Series Engines. In today's economic state we
recognize the need for a more cost effective alternative for
your racing needs. Rising fuel cost, rising parts cost, and
an unstable market are putting racers in tough positions.
The Magnum Series Engine is here to help alleviate some of
the stress created from your racing operation. The Magnum
Series currently consists of multiple engines to help people
get started in Jr. Racing or to move on to the 8.90 ranks
with their current cars.
The first engine within
the Magnum Series is our Clone Engine. This combination is a
great "starter" engine for anybody looking to get their feet
wet in the Jr. Sport. Although this engine is an OHV design,
limiting its NHRA and IHRA usably, it is an outstanding low
dollar route for new racers to use at many local tracks
throughout the country. The Magnum Series Clone is available
in 3 different configurations.
Configuration 1:
Stock Magnum Series Clone Engine - $299 (YES $299!!)
This configuration is a
bone stock engine. It still has the stock internal
components, stock external components with the exception of
a Billet Flywheel, ARC Top Plate, Walbro Fuel Pump, Header,
Air Filter Adapter, and 3' of Fuel Line. For someone looking
to gauge their kids interest in Jr. Racing this is a good
alternative.
(We do not
offer this engine with the stock flywheel due to the safety
hazard created by the magnets.)
Configuration 2:
Intermediate Magnum Series Clone Engine - $699
This configuration has
many longevity upgrades from the Stock Magnum Series Clone.
The Intermediate has an aftermarket Billet Rod, Billet
Flywheel, Aftermarket Cam, Aftermarket Valve Springs, ARC
Top Plate, Walbro Fuel Pump, Header, Air Filter Adapter, 3'
of Fuel Line, and is Professionally Assembled by the same
hands that bring you the Sniper Series Engines. This
combination is great for new racers looking to put a lot of
runs on their drivers.
Configuration 3: Pro
Magnum Series Clone Engine - $949 Introductory Price
This configuration is a
full race ready engine. It comes with the aftermarket Billet
Rod, Bille t
Flywheel, Aftermarket Cam, Aftermarket Valve Springs, Billet
Intake Manifold, 28 mm Carburetor, ARC Top Plate, Walbro
Fuel Pump, Header, Air Filter Adapter, 3' of Fuel Line, and
is Professionally Assembled by the same hands that bring you
the Sniper Series Engines. This combination is capable of
E.T.'s in the mid to low 10 seconds range.
All 3 of these
combinations are great ways for new racers to decide if the
sport of Jr. Dragster racing is for them. These motors give
racers the opportunity to test the waters without spending a
fortune at many of their local tracks throughout the
country. In addition to these motors, racers can also
purchase these motors with a complete clutch set-up for only
$600 above the engine cost. That makes the Stock Package
$899,
Intermediate Package
$1,199,
and Pro Package
$1,549. If your
new to Jr. Racing or looking for a cost effective method of
racing call us today!
In addition to our Clone
Engines, the Magnum Series also consists of a cost effective
8.90 Engine for racers looking to step up from the 12.90
ranks. This engine comes with the same quality and
championship winning capabilities that has become expected
of Huddleston Performance engines, at a lower price. The
Magnum Series 8.90 Engine comes with the following
components:
8.90 Terminator Block
3.100 Bore x .500 Stroke
S.S. Valves
Billet Camshaft
5/16" Lifters
Comp Valve Springs
Billet Flywheel
Billet Cylinder Head,
Intake, Sidecover, and Pump Bracket
Walbro Fuel Pump
33 mm Mikuni Carburetor
3' Fuel Line
This motor is capable of
running 8.90's at 375 lbs. It has the same care and
attention to detail which has become expected from all
Huddleston Performance combinations. The Magnum Series 8.90
Engine is priced at just
$2,995
and is also available with a clutch for only
$3,595.
We are currently working
on more Engines to add to our Magnum Series so be sure to
check back often to see the latest combination available.

the 8.90 ranks, call today to discuss which set-up best fits
your needs and we will get you on the track in no time!

Taren
Smith Doubles Up, Takes Home Win In Jr. Challenge Event
.jpg)
Taren Smith was the only
racer able to double up at the recently completed Woodburn
Dragstrip Junior Nationals. Taren was able to take home the
win in both the Jr. Challenge and 15-18 Year Old Age Group.
Mr. Smith's driving abilities and his Huddleston Performance
powered, Mike Bos Chassis Craft built racecar proved to be
to much for the competition to handle all weekend.
In the Jr. Challenge
final round took on fellow Washington racer Forest
Schiffmann. The finals were somewhat anti-climatic as Forest
turned the red light glowing as he passed the tree. Taren
cruised to the win with a coasting 8.21 on his 8.04 dial-in.
Sunday's final round
would prove to be a bit more of a challenge for the 2009
Division 6 Champion. As the tree fell Taren was off with a
great .026 light, he was then able to run a 7.935 on his
7.92 dial to take home the win and the double-up.
We want to congratulate
Taren on another great performance, we look forward to
hearing about many more wins throughout the 10' season.
Ashley Novak Wins 2 Wally's In One Weekend At Tri-State
Raceway
.jpg)
Ashley Novak, of
Fairfax, IA, was able to bring home not only 1 but 2 wally's
May 29-30 at Tri-State Racewat. Her Huddleston Performance
powered bracket car was able to mow through the field of
competitors to bring home the trophies. In Saturday's final
round Ashley dialed an 8.00 and was able to run an 8.010
coupled with her .013 R.T. to take home the Jr. Wally.
Sunday the elder Novak
found herself in the found round yet again. This time she
was a bit anxious on the starting line, turning the red
light on and having to settle for a Runner-Up finish.
Congratulations to
Ashley and her entire team on an outstanding weekend of
racing.
Huddleston Performance Racers Dominate Second SEJRA Stop At
Northwest Tennessee Motorsports Park
.jpg)
The Huddleston
Performance racers came to the second stop on the SEJRA tour
ready to flex their muscles and they didn't disappoint. As
the rounds got later the HP Racers got stronger, with many
of them ending up in the Winner's Circle on both Saturday
and Sunday. Our 8.90 contingent got things started off right
on Saturday, with an all Huddleston Performance final round.
The finals saw a match-up of 2 Mike Bos Chassis Craft
racecars, both powered by Huddleston Performance 8.90 Sniper
Jrs. Iowa's own Emilee Novak brought the win home over
Georgia native Charlie Smith in a close double break-out
8.875 for Charlie to Emilee's 8.898.
Later that evening
Lawson Roberts, a native of Northwest Tennessee Motorsports
Park, continued the winning ways in the $1,000 All-Run
class. In another all HP final round, Lawson was able to
bring home the big payday. The finals put Lawson with his
8.90 Sniper Jr. combination against HP 7.90 Heavy-Hitter
Beka Evans. The race unfortunately was decided on the
starting line, as Beka left the big red light glowing as she
passed the tree handing Lawson the automatic win.
The winning ways
continued on Sunday for the HP crowd. In the 10-12 Age
Group, current SEJRA points leader Kiefer Quick was able win
his second 10-12 Age Group title in as many races. Kiefer
was first off the starting line, then proceeded to run dead
on his dial to take his second win of the young season.
Lawson Roberts was also able to continue his winning ways on
Sunday as he brought home the Runner-Up finish in the Jr.
Quick 330 class.
Ashley Novak ended the
strong weekend by taking home the victory in the 13&Up Age
Group to join her sister in the Winner's Circle. Ashley and
her Sniper 7.90 Lite 3.25" ran dead on in the final round to
bring home the race win. We want to congratulate all of our
winner's from the weekend, and thank them for making the
Huddleston Performance name stand-out.
Charlie Smith Wins Third Race In a Row In New 2010 HP/Bos
8.90 Ride
.jpg)
Newcomer to the 8.90
ranks, Charlie Smith out of Georgia has been tearing up the
competition as of late in his brand new 2010 HP.Bos 8.90
ride. After winning very early in the season Charlie went
through a few weeks of hard times. After a few changes to
his hotrod Charlie has been mowing the competition down at
local track Silver Dollar Raceway. With 3 wins in a row,
Charlie is making a strong charge to become the 2010 Silver
Dollar Raceway track champion. In addition to his local
success, Charlie is also working hard to make a name for
himself on the National Level.
Mr. Smith is quickly
becoming a fear racer in the South-East portion of the
states. Charlie is not only doing it on the local scene, but
also on the big stage at the South-East Junior Racing
Association races. Charlie was able to bring home a
Runner-Up finish in the 8.90 Index class at the last SEJRA
race held in Gleason, TN. Moving him all the way up to 4th
in the heavily contested class, only 2 rounds out of the
points lead.
We want to congratulate
Charlie on having such a strong opening year in the 8.90
ranks.
