Here you will be able to see questions which are frequently presented to us by customers. Every so often we will post new questions to attempt to help you find the answers to questions you may have. ►How long is the wait to receive a Huddleston Performance Engine? We attempt to keep one of every engine we offer in stock for immediate shipment. During our peak sales season we will have two of some combinations. If for some reason we do not have the combination you are looking for, in most situations we can have your engine complete in no more than two weeks. ►How often do I need to freshen my Huddleston Performance Engine? All Sniper Engines are designed to run 200 passes between freshen ups. Through years of research and development we have designed combinations which allow our customers to race as often as possible without the fear of parts breakage. Our Terminator Engines are capable of the same number of runs with the proper maintenance done to them. A rod bearing needs to be put in them at 75 runs. All other parts are designed to withstand the abuse racers put on them each weekend. ►What is the difference between your Sniper Block Engines and your Terminator Block Engines? Through many years of Research and Development, we at Huddleston Performance have personally designed our Sniper Blocked Engines. These engines come with the most heavy duty parts in the Jr. Dragster world today. From our 1" ARC Crankshaft in all our 7.90 motors, to our custom designed HP Heavy Duty Cam Gears, our engines are built to withstand many years of abuse. The Sniper Engine Block is made of a Virgin 356T6 Aluminum, this is not industry standard with aftermarket blocks today. Other blocks are made of a 7030 mix material, thus resulting in many porosity issues. These problems have been eliminated from our Sniper Blocks. In addition to the improvements in our blocks, Huddleston Performance has also improved the internals of our engine combinations. Through Custom HP Cam Gears, 15 mm Wrist Pins, and many other improvements we have all but eliminated parts breakage. Most internal components will not need replacing for many seasons of racing. The majority of the engines which leave our shop only return once a year for a routine freshen up. Our Terminator Blocked Engines are built to accommodate the price conscious racer. These engines are assembled with the same care and attention to detail that we've come to be known for, at a price more suitable for many customers. The Terminator Engines are capable of 8.90's and 7.90's at lighter weights from our Sniper Based Engines. |
